Schuchart waves the checkered flag after winning the World of Outlaws at Jackson Motorplex

Schuchart Wins in Minnesota

Logan Schuchart won the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series' Fendt Showdown at Jackson Motorplex in Minnesota, capping a thrilling 30-lap race on the 4/10-mile track. Schuchart led early with Donny Schatz close behind, but Sheldon Haudenschild passed both to take the lead by Lap 18 and appeared headed for the win. However, lapped traffic allowed Schuchart to close the gap in the final 10 laps, pulling Schatz and Carson Macedo along with him. The top four raced closely until Schuchart retook the lead with three laps left, holding off his rivals to win in the Shark Racing No. 1S. Schuchart said he sensed Haudenschild's pass coming and decided to play "cat and mouse," conserving his car before making the winning move late.

The victory was Schuchart's third of the season and 47th career win, with five coming at Jackson Motorplex—tying Eldora Speedway as his most successful track. His team also notched their 13th top-five finish in the last 17 races.

Haudenschild's bid for back-to-back wins fell short, finishing second despite three straight podiums this season. Macedo passed Schatz late for third, sweeping podium finishes both nights of the Minnesota weekend.
