K1 Driver's Podium - Kofoid, Timms, macedo in K1 Custom Suits

Kofoid Wins as K1 Drivers Sweep Podium at "The Greatest Show On Dirt"

Posted by K1 Staff Writer on

In a thrilling comeback at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas, Buddy Kofoid overcame a four-second deficit to steal a dramatic last-lap victory over Ryan Timms on Saturday night. By the halfway point, Timms appeared in total control, but Kofoid steadily closed the gap despite a significant mechanical disadvantage — a bent nerf bar had compromised his steering for much of the race, which he believes cost him crucial early ground.

When the white flag flew, Kofoid was within striking distance. Exiting the final turn, he executed a perfectly timed slide job to clear Timms, then held him off down the straightaway to claim the checkered flag in one of the season's most memorable finishes.

The win was Kofoid's 24th career World of Outlaws victory, tying Ron Shuman for 28th on the all-time win list, and made him the season's third multi-time winner. He also moved up to fourth in the standings. Ryan Timms finished second in a strong showing, while Cole Macedo rounded out the podium.
