JR Motorsports had a dominant showing at Iowa Speedway's Hy-Vee Perks 250, with three of its drivers finishing in the top four. Carson Kvapil won in a two-overtime thriller, taking the lead from Ross Chastain on the first overtime restart and holding on through a second extra period after an eight-car Turn 2 wreck eliminated several contenders. Rajah Caruth finished second, and Chastain rounded out the top four alongside William Sawalich in third.
The result marked the 80th consecutive race in which at least one JRM driver finished in the top 10, breaking a tie with RFK Racing (2008-2010) for the series record. The team's strength extended the championship picture as well: Kvapil now sits second in points heading into the Aug. 28 regular-season finale at Daytona, holding a 28-point edge over third-place Sheldon Creed.
The race featured heavy attrition, tying the record with 12 cautions. A key sequence came when Chastain's tires spun on a Lap 252 restart, handing the lead to Kvapil, while a separate incident collected pole-sitter Ryan Sieg and JRM's Justin Allgaier, who had charged from 24th to third earlier in the race. Allgaier had led a race-high 83 laps after winning the second stage.
With one race remaining, JRM's consistency continues to shape both the win column and the championship battle entering Daytona.
