And with Snell CMR 2007 certification, the Zamp RZ-31 Youth racing helmet is eligible for use in FIA / CIK regulated competition, making it in ideal choice if your son or daughter competes in state or national level karting events. Starting in 2009, CMR 2007 certification is required for racers less than 15 years of age and highly recommended for racers between 15 and 18 years of age in all CIK regulated competition.     Constructed from a lightweight fiberglass shell (2.9lbs) for added comfort and safety, the Zamp RZ-31 Youth racing helmet was designed specifically for minors, and is a step beyond older generation youth helmets which were in essence adult helmets made available in smaller sizes. The RZ-31 Youth incorporates a host of features that make it well-suited for children, including a shorter shell which helps prevent neck and collar bone injuries in the event of a collision, a plush interior liner with removable cheek pads to accommodate children as they grow, and decreased weight to minimize stress on the neck muscles. The RZ-31 Youth is not only a great youth helmet though; it is also a great racing helmet. Featuring tear off posts for removable visors, advanced aerodynamics, Zamp's SE3 visor brake system for improved usability and safety, and chin and scalp vents for improved ventilation, the RZ-31 Youth by Zamp Helmets has everything that your son or daughter needs to stay comfortable and focused while on the track.
