The Rotax Max Challenge series uses spec Rotax 125 engines, ranging from the Mini Max to the DD2. The Type 125 Max Sr., used in the Senior Max series and Masters Max series, is the premier kart engine in the Rotax lineup, and is out-powered only by the DD2-125 direct drive engine. With liquid cooling, the single cylinder, two-stroke Rotax 125 Max Sr. kart engine produces an amazing 28hp! This power is put to the wheels with a traditional chain drive through a centrifugal clutch, and is capable of producing staggering performance on the track! If you are interested in competing in the Rotax Max Challenge, the traditional FR Rotax 125 engine is used in 5 of the 6 leagues.
