The Features and Benefits of the Bell KC3-CMR Youth Helmet

The Bell Helmet KC3-CMR is a technologically-advanced youth helmet designed to meet the Snell CMR 2007 safety standard. Jointly developed by the FIA and the Snell Memorial Foundation, CMR 2007 came about as a result of there being no modern standard (equivalent to Snell SA05, for example) for children's helmets. Adult helmets, even many of those which are available in smaller sizes, are often too large and heavy for children, but many children's helmets do not provide the same level of protection as adult helmets do. The CMR standard is a new regulation for children's helmets that helps solve this dilemma. CMR 2007 is quickly becoming recognized around the world as the new pinnacle in children's helmets, illustrated by the fact that the CIK (the specialized karting commission of the FIA that regulates international competition) will make this standard mandatory for children under 15 years of age (and recommended for those under 18) starting January 01, 2010.
