| Name | K1 Kart Racing Suit - Level 1 Karting Suit |
| Short Description | The CIK, in association with the FIA, is the premier sanctioning body of kart racing worldwide, and it regulates karting competition at the national and international level. To compete in CIK / FIA-regulated races in most instances requires having a homologated racing suit. To gain homologation certification, suits are tested for a variety of criteria, including wear resistance, heat resistance and how well the suit might protect the user in the event of an accident. The Level 1 homologated suit is typically eligible for any kart racing event up to the national level, whereas the Level 2 suit is designed to meet stricter standards, and is required for international competition. Homologation is good for five years of use, and typically must be re-tested on the third year after the "start date" of the suit, though this will vary depending on what series you compete in. |
